Strengthen your empathy muscle with Michael Ventura of the award winning New York City-based design practice Sub Rosa. Michael will push participants to step outside their comfort zone and embody a new perspective. This approach requires an openness and desire to skip the small talk and jump right in. Merging insights and action to drive change, each participant will learn ways to use empathy as part of their daily tool kit.
Michael Ventura is the CEO and founder of Sub Rosa, a strategy and design firm that has worked with some of the world’s most iconic brands and organizations, including Adobe, Delta Airlines, Google, Goldman Sachs, Nike, The TED Conference, and The Obama Administration. Michael has served as a board member and adviser to a variety of organizations including Behance, The Burning Man Project, The Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, and the United Nations’ Tribal Link Foundation. In addition to these pursuits, Michael leads an indigenous medicine practice, where he helps patients address illness and injury of all types. Applied Empathy, his first book, was published in 2018.
